Chachamim, but he was a great individual. The Mishnah in Berachot is perek beis, Mishnah zayin. It's also the Gemara in Perek Zayin amud beis. "K'shemeis Tovi avdi, when Tovi the slave around Gamaliel passed away, kibbel av tanhumim." Rebbe Gamaliel basically sat shiva for him. He sat there and he he accepted consolation. "Amru lei talmidav, so his students say, "Lo hayah ma'aseh tonu Rabbeinu she'ein mekabbelin tanhumim al avadim." Didn't our Rabbi, didn't you teach us that you don't receive for an eved?" May the Gro explains, they're they're asking two things. Number one, he's an eved, he's not even Jewish. Number two, he's not related to you, so why are you sitting shiva for him? "Amar lahem, so Rebbe Gamaliel said, "Ein Tovi avdi k'sha'ar kol ha'avadim. Tovi my slave is not like other slaves. Kasher hayah." He's kosher. It's interesting especially he's kosher. Uh yeah, you can now you could eat him. Like what are you going to do with him? Next next Wednesday night we're serving Tovi night in Kehilas Ahavas Yisrael. What exactly does it mean he's kosher? And so what if he's kosher? He's still not related to Rebbe Gamaliel. So the Gro points out from here we see if you have a servant that serves you faithfully, they're dear to you like a son and you could even sit shiva for them. But one thing we see from here from this Gemara in Berachot is is that Tovi the slave around Gamaliel was a kosher. That's the first thing we learn. Number two, there's a Mishnah on Sukkah. It says, "Hayoshein tachas hamitah basukkah lo yatzei yedai chovaso." If you sleep under the bed in your circle you're not Yati your here.
