all right so welcome to tonight this week we are studying parashat um it's one of the the the torah portions that starts reminding us that rosh hashanah is coming up look ahead we have uh soon elul and then we've got four weeks so we have what we have about five six weeks till rosh hashanah time is flying and please god will have a great rosh hashanah this year and yom kippur and a successful one so adam who is marrying adina this is next tuesday night so uh thank you to greg and dana and a big mazel tov to adam my parents and two to the entire family so very exciting uh even uh just to mention next week even though the wedding is on tuesday night we still have class as regular on on uh wednesday night please god okay this week's parashat we're going to jump into a verse which is one of the sources that which is one of the sources that our torah records the importance of tithing the importance of giving to the needy giving to the cohen giving to the lady giving to the temple to the betamigdash and i'm going to share with you the verse so we can all be on the same page okay this is in deuteronomy chapter 14 verses 22. which means in a redundant manner which means in a redundant manner you shall tithe it call that the field gives forth year by year and there's so much to learn from this verse um just from the very end of the verse where it says year by year we learn that there's an obligation to split the tithing of the produce from one year to the next you make a calculation it's kind of like accounting to all of you accountants listening in there's
