Rav Hutner gave direction to his Menahel, Rav Chaim Segal, זכרונו לברכה, The main thing to teach Talmidim is We are the עם הנבחר. A hundred times and more, he would say, until they begin to get it. My illustrious uncle, R’ Yosef Rosenblum זכרונו לברכה, the Rosh Yeshiva of Shaarei Yosher, was 14 years old, when he had to flee from the Nazis, from his hometown in Belgium. He had many times that he was almost killed, and he said Viduy many, many times. At one point, he found himself on a train, and the train stopped at an area, and it was swarmed with SS soldiers, who were checking everyone's documents. As they’re looking from person to person to check, he realized he has false papers, he was dressed like a gentile, and he knew that his cover was going to be blown any moment. As the huge Nazi comes forward to him and is about to stretch out his hand and say: Where is your document? that second, he was called to the platform. The intercom said: All officers to the platform. That second, his life was miraculously saved. His son, Shraga Meir, asked him, Tatte, what were you thinking at that moment?
