Now, here I have to tell you this, that's why you can't trust when you see what the encyclopedias tell you. They they say he was born in Venice. He was born in Hamburg. He's really a native of Germany. He was born in Hamburg in 1610. But he was a talmid. Later on, coming to Venice, he was a talmid of Reb Dovid Franco. Again, another name of a great Rav.
