So, good morning. Good to see you all for our very last Torah Cafe of the year. Um, we'll talk about our subject today will be special foods for rashashana. But before we get there, lots of other very very important things to discuss um about the rashash shana and the coming. So I just want to go through it very very briefly um and then I'll open it to questions and uh then we'll talk about our subject which is the special foods on rashashana. Firstly I should mention this week's para is I should mention this week's para is parad it is very short. It is the shortest para of the year uh of the it has the whole para is only one chapter. It begins by Moshe on the last day of his life saying, "Today I am turning 120 years old." It was his 120th birthday. And um he um commands Yahushua Joshua to take him over. Essentially appoints him as leader in his place. On that day, he commands everyone to um he commands us that every seven years um on the uh that every seven years um on the uh festival of Sukkot, this is the year after the Shmita year, uh all of Israel should gather in the temple and the leader should read the Torah for everybody. This is known as the hakl um we while we don't do that anymore because we don't have a temple. We still commemorate the year after the shmita year as a hakal year and we spoke about it in detail when we had a hakal year. Um about three years ago we had a class we spoke about it. Um and then uh Moshe writes down the Torah. Hashem dictates
