Every normal, sensible person aspires to live a good life, to face life's challenges with strength, to pass the tests that come their way. But we all know it's not always easy. Sometimes the struggles are between one person and another, and sometimes between a person and God in fulfilling the mitzvot. There are times when a person feels, I need strength to overcome this. This is especially true when it comes to character traits. character traits. The Rambam writes that some character traits are inborn while others are acquired. Some qualities a person is born with and it can be very hard to change those habits to change one's nature. And then there are traits that aren't inborn at all. But a person grows up in an environment where the behavior was unhealthy and he adopts it for himself until it becomes his way of life even if it's not good for him. Many people think that being aggressive, standing their ground, never backing standing their ground, never backing down, refusing to apologize, that this shows strength, that this is success. But King Solomon in the verses before us in the book of Proverbs teaches us something different. Today, with God's help, we're going to look at three verses from Proverbs where King Solomon gives us the strength to rise above life's challenges, to become the person we truly want to be, to elevate ourselves to a higher level. Solomon says, we're already at the end
