0:01 Fortunate are you, Israel! Fortunate are you, Israel! May Hashem, blessed be He, bless everyone: good life, salvations, miracles and wonders, blessings, much good, light, vitality and joy always. Regarding the tallis: I was told about a tallis, that on this tallis a picture was placed. This matter has no connection to me, nor to those close to me, nor to anything that is connected to us.
0:28 I heard about this tallis just now, and I heard that they said to make a tallis with a picture: an innocent Jew, a craftsman, who did it in innocence, out of innocence. I do not know him, and he does not know me. Or maybe he knows me, I don't know if he knows me, but I have no connection to this, and not one of us has any connection to this.
0:54 Unworthy people approached him, people who have no fear of Hashem, and pulled a nice little trick like this: they approached him and told him, "This is the Rav's wish. Put his picture on it and make a tallis, it is an important thing, it is important," and so on. They tried to persuade him in all kinds of ways, and because of that, in his innocence, he produced and made this thing: not with our knowledge, not with permission, not from anyone.
1:22 He simply went and did it in innocence. And of course, those same people made sure to spread it in every direction: "How can we do this terrible thing? How could they do such a thing?" So certainly the matter is clear and known: it has no connection to us. I do not know what it is. I have not even seen it, I am not familiar with it, and nothing about it is connected to us.
1:47 And I truly ask: do not use it. It is not needed: sit, learn, pray. We know that a person is forbidden to pray even facing his own reflection. A person who has something like glass, a mirror, the kind of mirror that reflects his own image: he is forbidden to pray facing his own likeness. Even a person who is praying... See how much the Sages warned us against praying facing a mirror, even facing glass that gives a reflection. If it is see-through, and you can see what is on the other side of the glass, there one can be lenient, with eyes closed.
2:23 But a mirror that truly reflects the person's own likeness: facing that, a person is forbidden to pray, even if his eyes are closed. All the more so a picture. This was written by our master the Radbaz, in Part 4, siman 107, and also the Eliyah Rabbah, in siman 90, se'if katan 28, the Shiyarei Knesses HaGedolah, our master the Chida, the Gaon Rabbi Chaim Palagi, and many more poskim. It is a known thing that one does not pray facing a mirror, nor a picture. The matter is clear and known, and you do not need me for that.

2:52 So I ask, truly: judge favorably. And of course one must always remember, and this is also for those who are zealous for Hashem, who said, "How could they do such a thing?": I too am zealous for Hashem. So one must judge favorably, and not immediately speak about me as if this were connected to us, and "How did I permit such a thing?" I did not permit such a thing, and I do not permit such a thing.
3:17 It is not for nothing that the Sages taught in the Yerushalmi, Tractate Pe'ah, chapter 1, halachah 1: "You shall not go as a talebearer among your people." A talebearer is like a peddler, who carries things from one to another. He loads up the words, he carries them across, he tells this one this and that one that, and on the way he changes and distorts the whole reality. That is "You shall not go as a talebearer among your people." One must always beware of people who are not upright, who take things out of their context.
3:43 They produced this tallis with a clever trick, as if it came from us, so that the whole world would talk about it. But it has no connection to us, and baruch Hashem, the matter is known. So truly, one can learn what the Sages teach in Tractate Pesachim, page 87b: For what reason did Yeravam ben Yoash merit... Why did Yeravam ben Yoash merit to be king over Israel, and even to be counted with the kings of Yehudah?
4:10 How did he merit to be king over the Jewish people, and to be counted with the kings of Yehudah? How is that? It is only because he did not accept lashon hara about Amos. He did not accept lashon hara about him. And from here we learn how important it is, always, to judge favorably, and always to look at things in a beautiful way, always to look at things with light and with joy, because the whole Jewish people, all of them are holy.
4:35 And one must always be careful not to give someone a bad name, Heaven forbid. The Yerushalmi, Bava Kamma, chapter 8, halachah 10: the Yerushalmi says that a person who gives his fellow a bad name is never forgiven. There is never forgiveness for this, for a person who gives someone a bad name. So first of all one must always judge favorably, and know that certainly a halachah like this is known, and certainly no one wants there to be idolatry in the world, and a picture put on this. To our sorrow, these people, if they had fear of Heaven, they would not increase hatred and strife and do such a thing.
5:11 They did this thing in order to stir up strife and hatred, so that the Jewish people would talk and would sin with lashon hara. They are truly causing them to sin with the most severe sin, as people say, "How could they do such a thing? How, a tallis? How could this be?" So I want to make my view known: this has no connection to us, nor to any of those close to us. And do not use talleisim with pictures. Learn Torah, put your eyes in the sefer, lift your eyes to Heaven, love the Jewish people, increase the good, increase the joy.
5:43 To be zealous for the Holy One, blessed be He, is also to love the Jewish people. It is to love His children. Anyone who looks at the Holy One, blessed be He, only with zealotry, and at His people with hatred, he is not being zealous for the Holy One, blessed be He. Zeal for the Holy One, blessed be He, is to be zealous for His people. It is to love all of the Jewish people, to bring light to all of the Jewish people and to judge everyone favorably, to shine the light in everyone and to shine the good in everyone. I love everyone, and also those who did this: let us judge them favorably.
6:09 I do not know why they did it, but even though they did it for hatred and lashon hara, I still judge them favorably: perhaps they will do teshuvah, turn back from their mistake, truly learn the truth, and not take things out of their context like this. May Hashem, blessed be He, bless everyone: good life and much good, salvations. And the main thing is to always remember to learn Torah, to pray, and when you are in shul, you put your head, your eyes, in the siddur.
6:40 You pray with kavanah. Rabbi Sar Shalom says: one who prays from the beginning of the tefillah to the end of the tefillah with kavanah, a person who does so, with kavanah, will attain ruach hakodesh, if he has kavanah from the beginning of the tefillah to its end. There is great importance to a person praying from the beginning to the end with kavanah. It is a great segulah for his tefillah to be accepted, and even for him to attain ruach hakodesh. So see how important it is, always, to love and encourage everyone, and always to think only good things about the Jewish people, and to judge favorably.
7:12 Let us remember what Rabbi Yosei said in Tractate Shabbos, page 118b: "May my portion be with those who are suspected of something and it is not in them." One who is suspected of something that is not in him. May we merit, with Hashem's help, good and salvations. And remember: I have no connection to this tallis. And always cleave to the Holy One, blessed be He, and set the Name of Hashem: "I have set Hashem before me always." Let us cleave to the Name of Hashem, blessed be He, and may we merit to return to Hashem, blessed be He.
7:40 There is a beautiful teaching in the name of Rabbi Chaim of Tchernovitz. Rabbi Chaim of Tchernovitz, the author of the Be'er Mayim Chaim. He says something very beautiful. "Fortunate is the man to whom Hashem does not reckon sin." Fortunate is the person who reaches such a level that not thinking of the Name of Hashem for even one moment is counted for him as a sin. So always take the Name of Hashem for yourselves, like this, beautiful, a Lamenatze'ach. That is, the Name of Hashem, "I have set Hashem," and pray with kavanah, with the siddur, with a settled mind and with thought.
8:10 And may Hashem, blessed be He, accept the tefillah of every one of the Jewish people. May we merit to be redeemed already, with an upraised hand, may unity and love increase among the Jewish people, and may we merit salvations and all good. I love you. Fortunate are you, Israel! May Hashem, blessed be He, bless each and every one with every good bounty. Be strong, be strong, be strong.
