Much has been said about the tremendous benefits that one acquires by being aimed in the Nisyanis of Shmiras Einayim. The tremendous amount of Hashpa'ah that one can be Zocheh to in Ruchniyus and in Gashmiyus from his holding strong and not falling to temptation being aimed beNisyanim. And we tend to look at it as a side benefit that comes out of being aimed beNisyanim. The Nisyan is there, but if we overcome it and we're strong, then we overcome it and we're strong, then we're Zocheh to tremendous Hashpa'ah. Recently, I was at an event in Chicago and someone shared with me a beautiful De'ah. The Medrash in Parshas Vayeishev tells us that the brothers hated Yosef HaTzaddik because he had a Kesones Pasim and the Medrash says the word Pasim can be read as Pas Yam, the splitting of the sea, the Kri'as Yam Suf which came in the Zchus of Yosef HaTzaddik.
